SPAGHETTI WITH PRAWNS

 

INGREDIENTS:

serves 4


METHOD:

  1. We start by chopping the onion.
  2. Heat olive oil in a frying pan and gently fry the onion.
  3. Then add the shrimp (either peeled or not, depending on your preference).
  4. The shrimp will make enough juice,we need for the sauce and it gives much of its flavour.
  5. Add salt and pepper and turn constantly.
  6. Add ouzo and lower heat.
  7. Add the diced tomato, if you want a little Tabasco and 1 teaspoon sugar.
  8. Allow the sauce to thicken for 10 minutes.
  9. Meanwhile, in a saucepan, boil about 1 litre of water.
  10. Once boil, add salt and a little olive oil to prevent the pasta from sticking. Boil spaghetti  for 12-13 minutes.
  11. When ready, strain and then burn with a little butter or margarine.
  12. Serve hot
  13. It is a delightful recipe! For even more tasty and spicy results add little grated feta or Parmesan.
