MEATBALLS WITH SAUCE


INGREDIENTS

for 4-5 people:

For the sauce:


METHOD

  1. In a large bowl pour two minced meats together with the grated onion and mix well, then add the rest of the ingredients.
  2. Mix all well and store in the refrigerator for at least 1 hour.

Prepare the sauce:

  1. Pour the oil in a large saucepan and gently fry the onion until soft.
  2. Stir in fresh tomato juice and tomato paste.
  3. Stir until dissolved and let the tomatoes simmer for 10 minutes.
  4. Sprinkle the cinnamon, paprika, salt and pepper.
  5. Remove the meat from the fridge and shape into small walnut sized balls.
  6. Place into the pan with the sauce, shake the pan by shaking the two hands, keep the pot at a low heat and cover.
  7. Boil for at least ½ hour until the meatballs  tender but firm.

Serve hot.
