METHOD:

  1. Mix the flour together with the salt.
  2. Add the margarine, cut into small pieces.
  3. Rub in the margarine and add 3-4 tablespoons of cold water.
  4. Knead the dough lightly and divide it in two parts.
  5. Roll out half the dough and line a pie pan with it, sprinkling     the rusk crumbs over the bottom.
  6. Mix the rest of the ingredients, except the egg white, and fill     the crust.
  7. Roll out the rest of the dough, cover the pie with the top    crust, prick it in several places with a fork and brush it with     the lightly beaten egg white.
  8. Bake the apple pie in a moder­ate to hot oven for 50-60     minutes.
